Hi Guys,Right now we are testing with a range of 2-3 seconds. The effected mech can still turn and shoot and blink but not use thrusters (well it will still use your energy but you won't move). We are trying to submit the build to Apple this weekend or Monday.-Mobula Dev

Ok...I just thought I would run this idea by everyone. I think some of us would agree that the game is losing some of its fun or gameplay. This idea hasn't been thoroughly thought out, it's just a brainstorm. What if a group of us decided to meet at varying times in a chat room within Imech and set up VS competitions. Maybe we could agree to 2 teams, no upgrades and we can only use the original mechs and weapons that were available when the game 1st started. If the strongest weapons were eliminated (shotgun, ect.) skill would play a much greater factor. We could set up dueling matches with one another and impose what ever rules we all agree upon such as mechs, weapons, upgrades and so-on. Another game could be an Imech version of capture the flag. We each chose a mech on our team to be a runner (he can't attack anyone) which ever team has killed the runner the most times wins. Of course we would attack each other to prevent killing our runner but rather than holding the personal kills against each other we would instead be basing a victory on how many deaths that teams runner incurred. This would add a totally new angle to the game. Any players entering the game that aren't part of the match are simply obstacles or observers depending on their play. We could all set times to meet up in a predetermined chat room, decide on the game and rules (all predetermined) and play. I think we probably all agree that the rating system in this game is extremely poor so we could keep are own system. Myself, Swash, Crutch, Grudge or anyone for that matter could be a score keeper and blog on a regular bases to keep us up to date about where we all stand as a team and independently. Our official Imech ratings won't matter because we will be keeping our own system. Other guilds that agree to the rules could play as well. Of course we would have to use the honor system when it comes to no upgrades and things like that but I don't have an issue if others don't. It could be a lot of fun in my opinion. I think most want to see more game play so this could help. If anyone thinks this could be fun post a blog with your ideas and let's start a dialog and work out the kinks. If anyone doesn't like these ideas and has their own post them and we can try those instead. I really enjoyed that big battle we had last weekend and think we could all have fun like that more often. I truly believe that I can beat anyone in this game and that anyone in this game can beat me. Let's have fun with it. The games and terms can be dialed in to focus on more skill or more chaos depending on everyone's mood. It will take some experimenting but I'm sure we could make it work if we want it to.Just an idea to liven things up a bit, it could be fun to pull out the Junkers and go "old school"! Kinda like an Imech demolition derby!
Oh oh I have the best idea: how about we play in free for all, and actually play free for all (forget teams). Wouldn't be an issue for most of my guys, since many of us battle each other when we can't find many enemies. If we did this less players would quit and the game could be revitalized. It seems like sum has suggested this obviously awesome idea before, with the warning that the game was being killed, if only I could remember who it was.....
I guess, we would just have everyone in both guilds agree to it. However, some would just stay out of FFA then and go in TDM
Hi Guys,We are waiting for the update to be approved by apple and then the new mechs will be released(Update 1.6.0). Also when the update happens we will take arena out of the map rotation since alot of players think its too big. In the (1.6.5) we will put in the new version of Arena and another new map plus mechs and a Weapons.Shotgun - We will look into if its too powerful but the no reload bug is fixed in 1.6.0 which also adds a 0.5 second cost to switching weapons.We are open to suggestions on the rating system we have changed it before. One of the ideas is to go back to the old ELO vs the new watered down one and to reset the leaderboards. ( the range would no longer be -25/+25 instead it would be -10/+10)Suggestions on "FUN" are always welcome, tho we are a very small development team and it takes time to make things.Thanks,-Mobula Dev

The .5 second penalty on weapon swaps sounds really really weak. Shotgun isn't overpowered, but resistances are. I am already running into mechs that can't be killed with flak gun, shotgun, rail gun combo, and now your saying that there is a delay on weapon swaps, seriously? Might have been better to fix the reload and see what happened before jumping to the conclusion that swaps were too fast.
Hello Mobula,Agree with Swash here, the bugs are making resistances way too high, this causes a snowball effect, people suddenly do not worry about long and mid range weapons and run in for the shotgun kill.The problem was never weapon swaps, but invisible fire when switching to the next weapon, this has always been present in the game. I sometimes wondered how I was hitting people from a distance with no active weapon, e.g. firing m. gun then switching to flak to go in for the kill (my m. gun continues to fire invisibly on my screen, but on their screen it looks like i'm switching super fast.)The other bug is faster reload times for charge weapons, this can be utilised when switching from the Flak firing to next weapon as long as you hold down after firing then switch while still holding, this way the next time you cycle to it, it would recharge quicker and faster than if you were just using Flak and recharging it normally.All that needs to happen is when switching while holding and switching back to flak or any charge weapon, the weapon does not reload faster than if you were just firing and reloading one single charge weapon repeatedly.So to reiterate, two separate bugs need to be addressed. Which are tricking you into thinking the standard reload times and weapon switching are to blame, when they are not.I hope this is clear and concise enough for you.
I have told them about both glitches before, they send me a message saying they would be patched. The delay between weapon swaps will nerf many mech as well. Fiddler, electromag, likely geistor, any mech that requires close proximity to be effective.
Pre loadable weapons should have to be used while reloading, NO reloading in the background while u have a different weapon out. To reload the flak you must remain on the flak, swapping weapons while reloading would cause the reload process to restart after returning to the flak.
Another thing we could do is just to not allow the flak shotgun combo. you wouldn't be able to switch one weapon to shotgun when one is flak and vice versa. Grudge, I know what the second glitch u talked about above. I see juliusgoh abuse it every single time
I doesn't require you to press button. You just have to wait a couple seconds I guess by watching julius
Limiting any weapons like that would be silly. Flak shotgun has it's weakness (long range), if resistances weren't so op then geistors would get torn up before closing in for the kill. Problem solved besides, flak in that combo would just get swapped for rail gun, what next? No rail gun and disruptor combo? Ion and photon? No gas and flame? The time to reload shotgun is the weakness, sum1 shoots flak shotgun and they have to spend near 8 seconds reloading, that's penalty enough. Don't nerf the game, fix the glitches and leave it alone, it was good enough to begin with, just had some loop holes.
Agreed, I would tear up Flak shotgun users in the past by using a flak flamethrower combo, with the resistances being so high, flamethrower is rendered useless.The bugs are all that needs to be fixed.

Well here are my grievances and concerns, compared to most I am a noob, yet I will have my voice heard. First the .5 second delay on weapon swaps is a bad idea. I think the glitches need to be fixed, like when people shoot multiple weapons at once, or reload loadable weapons while shooting continuous fire weapons. These things are miniscule in comparison to the real problem with the game. There seems to be only 30 people that play this game, at least in us west server. This game is worthy of thousands of players easy. I am a top 50 player in another game I play that has millions of ACTIVE & REGULAR players, and that game isn't half as good as this one is. Has any of the 30 people that play this game wondered why so few people play it? Let a noob tell you. First to get this out of the way I will admit that part of the problem is devices and Internet connection. Not everybody has a device good enough to play this game, and not all the people that have a good device have a good enough Internet connection to play. This will change with time, as wireless infrastructure is built, and more capable devices find their way into the hands of more people. The main reason nobody plays is because of the top players in the game now double teaming every noob that tries to play. Everybody thinks that because they are in the same clan they should not kill each other in ffa. And if that's not bad enough they don't kill each other in tdm either. I have never seen a bigger group of losers than the people that play this game. On top of that, they have the nerve to come talk trash in the forums. Who do you guys think your fooling? There are only a hand full of players, do you think we don't know who the cowards and double/triple/quadruple teamers are? The only reason I stopped at quadruple was because I don't know the terms for 5,6, or 7 on 1. Then the double teamers get all excited when they kill somebody, and pretend they have skills, when it takes several of them (level 30s) to kill a noob with half their xp. Do you guys think new players will stick around for that? I sure dont, in fact I had a friend from my other game come play this game and he told me everybody is gay, all they do is double team new players. I ask the cowards and gloryless rating farmers this: would you rather be top 10 of 30 players, or top 50 of thousands, or millions? Anybody that thinks lots of people play this game is sadly mistaken, top players have multiple accounts, that they hide behind. This gives an illusion of lots of players, when in fact it's just lots of accounts being ran by few players. I just hope for the sake of the game, people read and understand what I am saying.

Dear mobula, I am the founder of the glitch switch combo technique, many of time Iv been accused using a modded controller, but now half the mechs use it, and still suck, but I have found another glitch keeping it to myself, I am able to fire multi rockets using a simular strat....im a naughty boy and needed to be spanked...just saying.

It's funny today every single match I played I was getting teamed up on, then at the end of the night, Nuys on and I teamed up on subject 44022 and was got a taste of his medicine. He quit of course, but not before calling me a hyprocrit. These guys play team death match, 4 of them against me and three of them, the 3 of them on my team step in front of my shots to save their players lol. So it's basically like 7 on 1. And 1 time of me teaming up randomly with somebody, they cry. HAHAHA you can team up all you want and I still won't die as many times as you guys, because cowards die a thousand deaths.

Warning. Do not update! Multiple players already saying they will no longer play their accounts. The weapon delay is horrible and ruined the game. Tell your friends not to update. The problem is people who don't update have a huge advantage. You are not forced to do the update. There are no new weapons or mechs in this update.

Hi Guys,So for the delay on changing weapons it will be reduced in the update we are submitting today (1.6.1) which will lower it to twice as much as it was before this change that seems to still fix the not seeing it fire while also not being a hindrance to play.@sirswash Since the game change to MBA you can turn by taping on the right side of the screen but outside of the stick. The new MBA tutorial shows this now while the iMech Online one didn't have that step.We are debating forcing this update or waiting for 1.6.1 to go live in a week. Note:- That Amazon and Ouya will be using 1.6.1- Mechs and Weapons can't be unlocked until all clients are on the same version.Thanks,-Mobula Dev
Lol play the game on an iPad, u will see that won't work during weapon swaps, it would make it take even longer. It gives a huge advantage to ouya players, since every time in swap weapons I will be forced to stop turning for a split second, makes a world of difference. Don't believe me, u play on an iPad and let. Me play on an ouya. Your tune will change quick.
The point is that on a touch screen you would have to stop turning to swap weapons and fire, when u wouldn't have to on an ouya. And u seriously think I don't know about touching the screen? That won't help when u have to swap weapons

I guess the point I'm trying to make is fixing both bugs could have been done in 1 step. Making weapons not fire when weapon swaps occurs would have stopped the rapid reload glitch too, since the reload glitch relies on the continuous fire glitch. From my experience of programming it would have been quicker and easier to do it that way.
I prefer a reset of leaderboard.
After update my iPad imech crashed often during a match. However it looks like a run out of a battle, but it is not in my opinion. Hope that next update fix it.

Laser cutter needs tweaking: slaughters players with no resistance, barely hurts players with resistance
Like your brother, mega. he is ridiculously hard to kill without shotgun. He must have some crazy regen or extra hull or something
I have taught megaboss, he is hard to kill, mostly because he kills his opponents quickly. Believe me, there are players that you team with that are harder to kill, and not because of skill, because of the reasons u mentioned. Resistances are overpowered, that's the main problem, u can resist more than you can increase your damage output.
His resistances are much better than mine. I don't know why laser cutter didn't 1 hit kill me before. It could barely dmg my shield but I don't have shield regen or any resistance
Remove the switch delay. It's ridiculous switching to rockets and mines takes forever. Didn't even fix glitch either.
I really enjoyed it while it lasted. I'm done until the game is fixed.
The switch delay may have cause more problems than it helped. We'll be planning on reverting back the "fix".

Right now he is glitched, very cool if u have the credits, I won't ruin the surprise ;). He not invincible, he just has a different set up. The reaper skin is wicked too
Yeah the fourth surprise haha, he seems a bit weak on the shield front though.. And yeah I like the original and reaper skin.Technically speaking that may be another official advantage to a mech that size.

Hi Guys,So we fixed Plethoron shipping with the wrong ability. He now has Lockdown ability instead of the extra weapon slot. As Sir Swash has pointed out, he has a similar Hull to Shield ratio as Electromag.Today we are submitting 1.6.2 which fixes the texture memory issues which are causing crashes for some users. Also 1.6.2 has the weapon switch restored to its original cooldown.Thanks for your patience while we iron out the issues. -Mobula Team
Plethoron, needs to have slightly higher shield and hull then to balance him out, as it stands I find him waaay too weak for such a large mech.Ouya has become so laggy the game is almost unplayable and ios is laggy too.
His ability is really hard to hit ppl with, too small
And slow moving. Would be better if it was shot from pletheron looking like it does when it has grabbed a player, the 4 sided chain.
I agree those three spikes/pylons under the "face" section should form the grab claw, which should have the same animation as Fiddler only performing the lockdown instead.Hull needs a slight increase.Shield needs a medium increase.His price at 40k is too low also.He is much weaker than Aegis atm, the speed also allows faster mechs to beat him too.. Just my observations.
Shield could use more, hull isn't bad. He is comparable to electromag but his ability isnt. I figure the claw should fire from the 3rd cannon. Animation is fine, just needs to be bigger and faster
I like the effect when they are chained up, but I hate the little white ball which is small, think it looks tacky imo.

Here is an idea: how about adding more stats to the leaderboards. There is FFA solo currently, and that's it. Let's add a few more categories, I was thinking TDM ratings, total xp, and total kills. Might help convince people to buy power ups, like the clan increase 50% xp! or even some of the others to help get more kills. Players would have more areas to compete for rank too, could be a good substitute for messing with the current ratings
